Dino & Dragon Stroll Coming To Ocean Center In Daytona Beach

Updated: Feb 21, 2022

You’ve seen them all over the big screen, now experience them in person! Dino & Dragon Stroll, a national touring event produced by CV Events, is coming to the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach for the first time March 5 and 6.

This is the only North American tour where attendees can get up close to lifelike, full-size dinosaurs, some standing over 28 feet tall and spanning over 60 feet long. Strolling throughout the exhibit, attendees will be transported back in time to the Mesozoic Era with prehistoric dinosaurs from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods. Featuring scaly skin, feathers, fur and full movement and sound, advanced animatronics and audio technology transform these replicas into living creatures.

Dino & Dragon Stroll is an interactive event allowing guests to stroll at their own pace as they encounter dinosaurs ranging from babies to a full-sized T-Rex, Velociraptor and Stegosaurus, just to name a few. Guests can also get up close and personal with a selection of large, serpentine, winged, horned and legendary fire-breathing dragons.

Children can participate in story time and the dinosaur and dragon craft creations station for various hands-on crafts. Additional activity tickets are available for purchase at the event for themed rides, including bounce house inflatables, dinosaur scooters, walking dinosaur rides, stationary rides that give the opportunity to climb on a dinosaur to experience what it would be like to ride on one, and T-Rex ATV’s that children can ride on a track circling a T-Rex.

And for those attendees who may have sensory sensitivities, Dino & Dragon Stroll will host a sensory-friendly session at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, with sound and light adjustments designed to be less stimulating and overwhelming.

The Dino & Dragon Stroll is also giving back to local communities, partnering with a local food bank at each stop as part of their “Stomp Out Hunger” initiative. In Daytona Beach, Dino & Dragon Stroll has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the event and place them in the bins located at the front entrance. Collections will then be donated to help children and families in the Daytona Beach area facing hunger and food insecurities.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 5 and 6 with a special sensory-friendly session at 8:30 a.m. March 5. Tickets start at $24.99 and are available online; admission is free for children under two and active service members and veterans.
