Friends of Deltona library plans media sale


The Friends of Deltona Library will conduct a media sale from April 1 to 16 at the Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave. The sale will be in the Book Nest Used Book Store inside the library during regular library hours.


The library is open from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.


Items, which will be priced at three for $1, include DVDs, music and audiobook CDs, and Spanish materials

and records. Proceeds will help the friends group fund summer programs.

Deltona Regional Library hosts Genealogy 101


Are you ready to climb your family tree? Get a leg up by attending a free introduction to genealogy class at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at the Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave.


The class, sponsored by the Friends of Deltona Library and the Gemini Springs Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, will show beginners how to get started.


Participants will be introduced to free online genealogy websites and library resources. They will also complete a family group sheet and learn about pedigree charts.
